This scenic RV and tent camp area is between the pines and hardwoods on the shores of the 57-acre Pfieffer Lake in the Superior National Forest. The tranquility, breathtaking views, and abundance of birdlife make it the ideal camping spot for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy birdwatching, kayaking, canoeing, and angling. Fishermen regularly hook largemouth bass, walleye, bluegill, and crappie from the camp’s fishing dock or a boat.

The camp area has a grassy swimming beach and provides access to the three-mile Pfieffer Lake Trail. Pitch your tent or park your RV at sites with picnic tables and fire rings close to water spigots and vault toilets. There are also two primitive sites, only accessible by canoe or kayak.


2. Sherwood Forest Campsites

The rolling green lawns and shady trees of Sherwood Forest Campsite on Lake Ore-Be-Gone in Gilbert is a perfect camping destination. The gravel RV sites have electricity and water hookups and are big rig friendly with ample space for slideouts. There are back-in and pull-through sites, each with a picnic table, fire ring, barbecue facilities, and WiFi. The tent sites each have a covered area with a picnic table.

The camp area has restrooms with hot showers, a boat ramp, a fishing dock, and a dump station. Play horseshoes and other outdoor games, hike down the nature trails, kayak, and canoe. There is a playground for the kids and planned activities.


3. Fisherman’s Point Campsites

The secluded camp area in Hoyt Lakes is on a wooded peninsula on Whitewater Lake with panoramic views of the lake and the forest. The camp area also has excellent fishing spots where anglers hook bass, walleye, perch, crappie, perch, and sunfish. You can fish from a boat, the banks, or the fishing pier. Hikers and bikers can explore the region on miles of trails that wind through the woods and along the lake.

The sites have picnic tables, fire rings, and electricity, but none have sewer or water hookups. There is a filtered water fill station and a dump station for campers free of charge. Fisherman’s Point has restrooms with hot showers.


4. West Two River Camp Area

If you want a peaceful camping experience in beautiful surroundings, camp out on the beautiful tree-lined West Two River Reservoir. Here you can fish, paddle, boat on the serene lake, or just laze in the sun on the sandy beach and cool off in the lake. The secluded pull-through RV and tent sites provide privacy from other campers. Each site has electrical hookups with water spigots.

There are restrooms with showers and flush toilets nearby. There is a boat launch, a fishing pier, and a playground. Your pets are welcome to enjoy the camping experience with you.
